Cressant Hill Arabians welcomes you to enjoy browsing through our website, and dream of the possibilities of owning your own beautiful Straight Egyptian Arabian horse! |
|
Our Farm Cressant Hill Arabians was established in June 1991, with the purchase of our first lovely bay Straight Egyptian Arabian mare, Eskada Yasmine (Moniet El Sharaf x Toofah), with the farm name originating from the very first foal raised by Letta as a teenager. Several high quality purchases soon followed, creating a solid base of Champion bloodlines known for their exotic beauty and athletic abilities towards performance. Our 20 acre farm sets among the lush rolling hills of Mid Missouri, conveniently located one hour west of the St. Louis International Airport. Cressant Hill Arabians is a leading source for Straight Egyptian Arabian horses with bloodlines sought after in the United States and beyond; offering some of the finest horses for purchase, and stand at stud several Champion Straight Egyptian stallions! Our goals are to consistently produce the best Straight Egyptian Arabian horses of the Bedouin foundation strains; Seglawi Jedran and Kuhaylat Ajus Rodan. Admired for their refined classic beauty and consistent qualities, making them capable of both halter & performance. Their people loving personalities combine a rich historic legacy, with the ability & temperament to excel in all disciplines of performance including: Sport Horse, English, Western, Dressage, Endurance, Reining & Working Cow Horse, Racing, Hunter Jumper as well as Halter and beloved family companion! Proving the beliefs at Cressant Hill Arabians, "High quality is always better than quantity, and one should always buy the best mare they can afford, breed her to a proven Champion stallion, to produce the best foals to carry on their future!". This belief reflects our desire to breed the best Straight Egyptian Arabian horses possible and make us feel honored to be involved with such beautiful, rare and valuable horses. So whatever your interest--fun, family involvement, new friends, riding, showing, profit & tax advantages or preserving the rarest bloodlines in the world! Cressant Hill Arabians can help you to be successful at making your dreams become reality. Honesty and integrity is our commitment to you. Cressant Hill Arabians started with childhood dreams of someday owning and raising some of the most beautiful horses in the world! As lovers of all equine breeds, the Arabian was chosen as the favorite from a photograph in a library magazine as a child. This same photograph was later discovered to be the beautiful grey stallion *Farazdac. Now thought of as a message from above, considering *Farazdac was a Straight Egyptian stallion, and Cressant Hill Arabians is 100% committed to the preservation of Straight Egyptian Arabian bloodlines! Incredibly, our very first Straight Egyptian foal, a beautiful black filly, was named CHA Farasha; not realizing at the time that Farasha was also the name of *Farazdac's dam. Our family consists of four humans (Jerry, Letta, Justin & Larissa), one Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Bailey), three cats (Ping, Abu & Sonja) and currently five gorgeous Straight Egyptian Arabian horses (Mo, Yaz, Mrs. Piggy, BB & Layla) with two unborn foals on the way. We are a hands on farm; meaning we do 100% of the work ourselves by choice, while maintaining our amateur status. Enjoying every moment spent with the horses and the people they have brought into our lives along the way! Together we attend & participate in several horse fairs and shows of all levels. Whether it be US Nationals, the Egyptian Event, Class A or fun shows. Supporting one another in this lifelong learning experience and having a lot of fun! Our farm is also active in the promotion of the Arabian breed, through hosting Open Houses and Egyptian Day in May, a day dedicated to the Egyptian Arabian horse! We have volunteered and served countless hours in Arabian clubs as President, Secretary, High Point Chair, Show Chairman, Futurity Chair and Newsletter Editor! Our knowledge from these experiences brought forth the ideas, creation, need and establishment for The Pyramid Society's now highly attended and enjoyed Newcomers Welcome and Walk About Tour, held each year at the prestigious Egyptian Event in Kentucky! Some of our fondest memories: the birth & bond of the mares and foals with their curly manes & velvet muzzles, warm greetings of nickers each morning, thundering hooves racing towards the gate to be the first to be petted, hearing the announcer call our name for the ribbons & trophies, attaching pretty ribbons with tears to the manes that are going to new homes, knowing the itchy spot each horse loves to have rubbed, BBQ & picnics with clients that have become life long friends and meeting new ones, riding with the wind in our face, watching our children romp in the fields with the foals, or sleeping in the straw next to one, laughing at Justin's funny antics with a colts game of basketball, relaxing on a quiet summer evening watching the sunset over the backs of the horses grazing in the fields, admiring the intense pride & beauty of a stallion approaching a mare to say," Hello", witnessing the bond between a man and a stallion whom no one else's' heart or hands could win and saying goodbye with a heavy heart when one is lost to us. Look close at each photo, for these are the dreams and memories we have chosen to create and share together as a family for a lifetime! |
